Color truer with second one. Kinda like stick orientation on the first one. If I were going to dangle something, like a cat toy, off the stick I'd use the upturned orientation.

Almost there ~ needs chop and to sew loops
Back to work on The Road Goes Ever On...
Basically tucking and tacking and anything else that needs added, like my chop.
The back.
Postcard tapestry ready to go. Scanner is new and I don't have time to fiddle with how it works, so I took a pic of the tapestry.
actual size800 dpi
And the back:
And both mine and Deb's:
Gort & Klaatu's Excellent Adventure and Deb And the Big Dog
Tuck tuck tucking.
Don't forget to scan it into the computer!!
Getting there.
Almost done. Then I'll attach the cardboard "postcard" to the back and send it off to Deb in a padded envelope.
Taking it with me to Catalina next week. Easy to pick up and put down, just my speed.
Homage to Lucy's Spacescapes. Flying saucer path is my signature chop. I can weave it in silver. Darker blues and purples, nebula mostly in the center.
Practically done. Tucking, filling, setting, then adding the loops and chop.
Choosing sparkly threads for Steph's sparkly bug tapestry.
Pushing carapace to a burgandy/orange, wings as a bluey-silver, light as shades of gold and yellow, sky in shades of darker blue.
Going to weave a stylized firefly for Steph's b'day, July 30. A mini-tapestry, so it should go pretty quickly, once I gather the yarns and beads, etc.
I'm tilting the firefly to the left and possibly using a different colorway. Not sure what yet. I can play with some yarns.
I'm going to weave a mini-tapestry of a bug for Steph's b'day later this month. She's a big bug fan. She has a site called Look! A Cool Bug! ;->
I've been pinning and googling kewl bugs. I like iridescent beetles, often with wings spread. Also I like a fuzzy bee bottom.
I'm taking the VRT tapestry off the loom today, and I can either use that loom or scare up a smaller one.
The Road Goes Ever On...
Always looks darker when it's wet. Jewel-tone. But when it dries it'll be lighter and tighter.
Leaning toward: The Road Goes Ever On. Tolkien was seminal for Invenature's early years. And it's a nice sentiment.
Steph has a b'day coming up and she loves bugs. How about a small bug tapestry? There are oodles of kewl bugs on Pinterest and of course her page https://www.instagram.com/look_a_cool_bug/?hl=en

Still can't post pics. Need to get Bill to take a look at it.
Oh wo0t! It loaded. Yay! Maybe it was something with Blogger.
Still working on a name. Later, dudes doesn't quite fit the mood. Same with Later Gators. Psychopomp and Circumstance? Tina nixed that one.
I'm drawn to The Road Goes Ever On, the Tolkien poem. There are different versions, depending on which character was saying it or which book it came from, but I think this one is the first.
Something to do with Elysian Fields?
Karen passed away just after her 69th b'day. Invenature was planning a zoom call, but she was already in the hospital and died the next day. We are bereft, and feeling numb. Tina, Lin, Bill & I went out to lunch to toast her. Tina & Lin visited all the Karen-esque places they could think of (and some she might have liked).
I'm adrift, easily under the weather.
I'm planning a memorial tapestry on the Starry Night theme with VRT in the place of the tree and a ghostly cat in the foreground playing with the big ball of the moon.
I have a cartoon I like, but there is something wrong with Blogger and/or my server and I can't upload pics at the moment.
I've got thru many cats, some peeking into the picture like a photo bomb, some walking out of the picture, or climbing the rainbow bridge.
I like the current cat because it is playful. A light mood.
I'll post the pic when I can.
